Happy mid week people! Friday and the long weekend can’t come soon enough, am I right? We were on the go this past weekend, visiting family in L.A. which is always super fun but super exhausting. I’m so ready for a chill weekend and for the kids to hurry up and be done with school.Continue reading

Mother’s Day Roundup
Real life. It’s almost comical now if I say, hey guys, let’s take a real quick picture with mommy. They intentionally try to be goofy and that’s just the way it goes. But I’m not complaining, their personalities are always shining through. Knowing my crew we will have some breakfast and end up at the beach this Mother’s Day, my perfect day, throw one of the items below into the mix and that makes for an even better day.
From top left, ONE- Go with anything gold slides at the best price. TWO- Coconut body polish, sounds delightful doesn’t it? THREE- The most perfect rose gold necklace you will never take off. FOUR- The second most perfect rose gold necklace you’ll wear with all your plain white tees this summer. FIVE-Another wear with anything, this simple camel colored tote. SIX-This wireless BOSE speaker, perfect for impromptu dance parties in the kitchen with the kids. SEVEN-The most whimsical ballet flats. EIGHT-The cutest floral container to hold all those recipes I plan on getting to someday. NINE-The most chic backpack. I have the medium size version and have been carrying it everywhere. TEN-Prettiest floral detailed robe.
Thanks for reading and have fun celebrating!

Weekend Look in the Basics
Happy Monday! How’s your week looking? I’m recovering from back to back nighttime outings this past weekend!(which hardly ever happens) Today I’m sharing some of my staple items for spring/summer. Continue reading
Bohemian Vibes: Floral Strapless Dress by Tracy Reese
Hello May! If you want to find me I’ll just be, ya know, casually hanging out in all the floral fields I can find. Seriously though, this time of year is all about bohemian vibes, and for me that equates to spring florals. I’m all on board with this trend.
Coachella 2017
Raise your hand if you want to live in a festival? Me! Me! Coachella 2017 was my third year in a row in the desert and again it was one for the books.
Art Installation One. This year’s art was super fun and playful.
Grabbing some shade, waiting for Two Door Cinema Club to take the stage.
Day 3 with the girls. The best group to spend the weekend with!
That golden hour.
Outside of our room, at the amazing La Quinta Resort and Spa.
La Quinta Resort and Spa, the most peaceful resort.
Art installation two. Whimsical pastels 🙂
Rebecca Minkoff bag, Forever 21 gold slides, Banana republic sunnies
Day 1.
Quality time with the girls in the beer tent, these two are the easiest going concert goers ever, hope we can do it again!
Oh Coachella… not gonna lie, this year took a wee bit longer to recover from than last year. I’m blaming it on the fact that the festival was much bigger this year, which meant much more walking around to get from show to show. I get the appeal of wanting to see Coachella VIP style but I prefer being a part of the crowd, you meet so many people from all over the world, it’s such an amazing experience, but you definitely pay for it by the end of the night!
As we did last year, we checked into the La Quinta Resort and Spa, a beautiful oasis in the desert. You’d be surprised too at how peaceful the resort is considering it’s packed with people in town Coachella. During the day it’s quite serene around the property, especially at one of the many pools. We lounged during the day so we could rally for another night.
Highlights-
Walking into the festival on day one is always a magical experience, seeing the Ferris wheel, feeling the vibes, all that energy can’t be replicated.
Seeing New Order and Radiohead. My musical influences definitely took shape during the late 80s and 90s, so for me, seeing these two bands were a must!
Spicy Pie. Pizza in the beer tent never gets old. Oh, and the corn dogs. Back to back Saturday and Sunday night.
Kaleo in the Gobi tent. His entire set rocked and was set against the backdrop of the swaying palm trees. One of the best shows all weekend.
Hans Zimmer performing at night. He wrote the score for Gladiator, which is still one of my favorite movies of all time.
Phantogram, GroupLove and Two Door Cinema Club were also great shows.
Writing this now, it’s tough to say if we’ll be back next year, but looking back on all the photos I’d say there’s a really good shot we make it. Until then, peace out Coachella.
