Happy Monday friends! How are you? I hope you had a great weekend. This past weekend was your typical June gloom weekend, super heavy marine layer for most of the day on both days, though I’m not complaining. We decided to hang at Coronado Beach, I know, shocker!
Just ate a huge burger and fries, hence the ketchup face.

Very serious work collecting sea shells.
Sand dune jumping.
Two peas in a pod.
Overcast beach days are definitely my thing. Cooler air with a tad bit of humidity is just how I like it. If you follow me on IG @christielovesflora you’ve probably seen many a beach pic at Coronado Beach. It’s super close for us. Just a 10 minute drive from our house and across the Coronado Bridge. I love it because it doesn’t ever really feel super crowded (outside of some holidays) and overall just a great clean beach for the kids. We kicked it there on Sunday after having a really slow, lazy morning at home.
I picked this oversized chambray dress for the day, which I found out wasn’t entirely practical, especially when your 7 year old is intent on soaking you from head to toe! And my husband said it looked like I was wearing a table cloth, but that’s fine, I’m totally ok with both. Oversized and non form fitting is perfect for the beach and I thought this chambray dress looked a little different from all the ones that I’ve been seeing lately , plus how fun are the pom poms right?! The perfect pop of color and perfect for having a little lunch on the Coronado deck after splashing around.
I got this dress from Forever 21, I couldn’t find it anymore online but linked to similar options below, I also linked Fiona’s super cute two piece set. Have a great week friends and thanks for stopping by!
