Hey friends! Happy mid-week. Couple things you should know about me, if you’ve been following along here and on Instagram @christielovesflora is that I don’t shy away from prints and I never shy away from color. They both just make me happy and without a doubt, my eyes always make a bee line for both. The florals on this jumpsuit were practically begging me to come pick it up off the rack!
At the end of the week we’ll be ushering in fall. It has been slightly cooler this past week but typically it warms up again for the entire month of October, so I’m not exactly rushing into light weight sweaters and all my denim just yet. I still think you can do bright florals for fall. I live in San Diego, we don’t get too muc variation in weather making it easy to continue the floral trend year round, but overall I believe you should wear what makes you happy and what makes your style distinctly you. Mine just happens to be bright colors. Beyond the colors, I am loving the femininity and flirtiness of this jumpsuit. (Yes, it’s a jumpsuit!)
I styled this jumpsuit with a basic cargo jacket I’ve had for years. It’s super lightweight and the perfect neutral that goes with most anything. I also decided it was time to jump on board with the white heel trend. I may be a little late to the game but now that I own a pair, I’m not going back. I will be wearing these heels well into the fall and beyond. I think they make your look pop in an unexpected way. Another way to make an outfit pop is with your sunnies. This pair was less than $20 but to me, they totally standout. Switching out your sunnies is an easy way to mix things up a bit, but can completely change your look.
I wasn’t able to find this exact floral jumpsuit online anymore but it’s by Tracy Reese. By the way, I am fawning over whatever she puts out, all her silhouettes seem to enhance your natural shape, in the best possible way. I did link to some other options which I would equally wear in a heartbeat!
